At MYTIME, we always welcome the chance to work with unique businesses and organisations, no matter how big or small.

If your team or community wants to get involved and help us level the playing field for young carers, we would love to hear from you.

There are many ways you can get involved, we love our community, and if you choose to support, we will do everything we can to build great relationships that are beneficial to everyone. We are happy to come in and talk to your team or organisation, no matter how big or small about what we do and why young carers are so incredibly valuable and essential in our community.

Employability Programme

Our Employability Programme launched in 2020 and helps young adult carers (aged 16-25) develop a wide range of skills which can help them find employment or progress onto further education. Our Employability Programme was created as a response to research conducted by the Carers Trust, which revealed that 49% of the young adult carers they surveyed were not working or in further education. The young adult carers surveyed explained that this was due to achieving lower grades at school because of their caring responsibilities and workplaces struggling to accommodate the flexibility young adult carers need to be able to work and also provide the care that the person they support needs.

Part of this programme is providing young carers with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, helping them to find a career or path which truly inspires and motivates them. We also provide talks and training for businesses to help them understand how they create an environment which would offer the flexibility young adult carers need. If your business would be interested in being part of the Employability Programme we would absolutely love to hear from you. We are in the process of creating a really valuable network of forward thinking and caring businesses who can see past the challenges our young adult carers face and create a warm and welcoming environment for them to be a part of.

28 Fundraising

We are always looking to help raise more funds to support our incredible young carers, no matter how big or small a fundraising event is we are always extremely grateful for the support. We have seen businesses take on epic virtual bike rides to Paris, team Skydiving, running, cake sales, quizzes and dress down days. These events are always fantastic and are brilliant at bringing staff together, whether it is taking on a challenge or taking time out to have some fun, we are always happy to get involved and do what we can to make your fundraising event a real success.

Charity of the Year

We have been extremely lucky to be nominated as the Charity of the Year by several different organisations. We love our Charity of the Year partners and work closely with them to create a really positive and mutually beneficial relationship.

The Centre

MYTIME is very lucky to have our very own R&R Retreat Centre over in Worth Matravers in the Purbecks. The centre is used by our young carers to give them a break from their caring responsibilities, we often use it to host day trips or longer residential breaks where we give young the chance to focus on their well-being. Whilst the centre is basic (more bunkhouse than boutique!) it can sleep up to 24 people and provides easy access to the beautiful Jurassic coast. It is the perfect place to host team building activities with your team, we can even help organise a programme of events which we would run with our young carers to help support their well-being and resilience. Each stay at our centre helps us to raise valuable funds to ensure our young carers can access these opportunities for free.
